Since 1986, Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association (CTRA) has been a registered non-profit organization that offers a range of therapeutic riding and equine-based wellness programs in the Cowichan Valley.
As a CanTRA accredited exam and training center, CTRA provides programs for individuals with diverse abilities in an environment of inclusivity and opportunity.

Join Our Ride-a-Thon Horse Race!
Cheer on your favorite therapy horse in our exciting Ride-a-Thon Horse Race—right here at the barn! Each rider will join a team based on the horse they regularly ride (or pick a new favorite!). As pledges come in for your horse’s team, your horse will gallop forward on the Ride-a-Thon track in the barn.
Check the barn regularly to see how your horse is doing in the race! The team raising the most pledges by the end of the event will win the race and be crowned champions. Plus, our top individual fundraiser will be recognized for their amazing effort!
Event Dates: June 9th to June 14th.
Come race with us and help support our therapy horses in this fun, friendly competition!
And to top it all off, all friends of CTRA are invited to join us for a celebratory Ride-a-Thon BBQ lunch on Saturday, June 14, from 12–2pm. We can’t wait to see you there!
